The Thorens TD 309 is a high-end analog turntable that sets new standards in analog replay with its innovative Tri-Balance three-point suspension system, ensuring perfect mechanical and aesthetic balance. It features a low-noise, low-voltage electronically speed-controlled DC motor with adjustable belt tension for optimal performance. The platter is made of fused silica for consistency and sound quality, supported by an aluminum sub-platter with single line contact. The TP 92 tonearm is specially designed for Thorens, made from rolled aluminum damped with Reduced Modal Resonance (RMR) technology, equipped with ultra-low-friction Japanese precision bearings, a magnetic anti-bias system with zero stiction, and a double-decoupled brass counterweight. The tonearm allows adjustments for azimuth and overhang, with the center of gravity aligned with the stylus. The turntable supports 33⅓ and 45 rpm speeds with electronic switching and comes with a cartridge (Thorens TAS 267). It has a solid MDF plinth available in high gloss red, black, white, or matte finishes. Dimensions are approximately 470 x 125 x 430 mm and it weighs 6.5 kg.
