About the DSPro V

The Theta Digital DSPro Gen V is a sophisticated digital signal processor and DAC, representing an evolution of the DSPro Generation III. It features a Crystal CS8412 input receiver with a tightened Phase Locked Loop (PLL) for reduced jitter, supplied by a dedicated power regulation stage. The unit is divided into three shielded sections: power supply, digital, and analog output stages, acting as Faraday cages to minimize electromagnetic interference. The power supply includes four separate transformers and 13 regulators, with eight of the rails regulated twice for optimal performance. The Gen V uses the same DSP engine as its predecessor but upgrades to an all-discrete analog output stage without op-amps. It supports 8x-oversampling digital filtering and offers a range of digital inputs, including AES/EBU, coaxial RCA, and coaxial BNC, with optional optical inputs available. The device provides balanced and unbalanced analog outputs with a high signal-to-noise ratio and low distortion.
