About the Illius

The Teres Audio Illius is a high-end, manually operated pivoted tonearm for analog turntables. Period references identify it as a tri-pivot design constructed from cocobolo hardwood, carbon fibre, brass and nickel. It was offered in a 10-inch version, with a 12-inch version announced later. The arm is intended for standard phono cartridges and is seen fitted to Teres Audio Certus-series turntables. Surviving published material is limited, and no authoritative manufacturer data sheet with full measured specifications was located; consequently, unverified values such as effective mass, pivot-to-spindle distance, overhang, internal wiring, cartridge-weight range, and recommended tracking-force range are not stated as fact.
