About the UD-701N

The TEAC UD-701N is a high-end network DAC, digital/analog preamplifier and headphone amplifier. It uses two proprietary TEAC ΔΣ (Delta Sigma) discrete DAC modules in a dual-mono, fully balanced architecture rather than an off-the-shelf DAC chip. It supports network playback, USB DAC operation, USB-storage playback, Bluetooth reception, MQA decoding, external 10 MHz clock synchronization, balanced/unbalanced analog inputs and outputs, and balanced/unbalanced headphone connections. Network control and playback are provided through the TEAC HR Streamer app; supported streaming/network functions include Roon Ready operation, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect. It has wired Ethernet but no integrated Wi-Fi. The manufacturer’s current international product/specification pages and documentation remain available, so it is not indicated as discontinued.
