The Tavish Design Adagio Vacuum Tube Phono Stage is a premium phono preamplifier featuring a compact design with separate power supply, allowing placement flexibility near the turntable or remotely. It supports both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges with adjustable loading options and uses a combination of passive and active equalization to achieve highly accurate ±0.2 dB RIAA equalization and very low harmonic distortion (<0.008%). The MC input employs Jensen JT-44K-DX step-up transformers for excellent performance. The unit is built with high-quality components including a linear regulated 320V high voltage supply and OMRON low-signal relays for input selection and muting. The chassis is made of 14 gauge powder-coated aluminum, and the tube complement includes 5751, 6267/EF86, and 12AU7A tubes. The Adagio is noted for its quiet operation, high gain, and exceptional overload margin, making it suitable for a wide range of cartridges. It is made in the USA and was discontinued as of the latest information.
