About the RW-900SL

The Tascam RW-900SL is a rugged, professional CD recorder and player designed for high-quality audio recording on CD-R and CD-RW media. It features a robust slot-loading transport mechanism, 24-bit analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, and supports MP3 playback. The unit offers precise pitch control (+/-16% in 0.1% steps) and key control allowing pitch changes without speed alteration. It supports sample rate conversion and selectable CD disc reading speeds. Recording can be done via unbalanced RCA analog inputs or digital SPDIF coaxial and optical inputs. The front panel includes dedicated left and right input level controls. The RW-900SL supports automatic or manual track division, sync record start, and power-on play. It can read and write CD-Text information via an externally connected PS/2 keyboard or included wireless remote control. Playback features include all, single, random, or programmed play modes, A-B repeat, and fade in/out during recording. The unit is rack-mountable (2U) and includes selectable infrared remote enable/disable and MP3 action settings to prevent accidental playback termination. It is ideal for home recording, studios, theaters, concert sound, and permanent installations. The RW-900SL has been discontinued and replaced by the CD-RW900MKII.
