About the CD200

The Tascam CD-200 is a professional 2U rack-mountable CD player designed for high-quality audio playback in installations and professional environments. It supports playback of standard audio CDs (CD-DA), as well as data CDs containing MP3 and WAV files, with support for CD TEXT and ID3 tags to display artist, album, and track information. The player features a high-quality TEAC-designed CD-5020A tray-loading drive, ensuring smooth loading and low noise. It includes analog RCA unbalanced outputs, coaxial and optical S/PDIF digital outputs, and a 1/4" stereo headphone output with volume control. The CD-200 offers ±12.5% pitch control with an on/off switch, a 10-second shockproof memory to prevent skipping from vibrations, and multiple playback modes including continuous, shuffle, program, repeat single, repeat all, and folder repeat for data CDs. The unit comes with a wireless remote control with direct track access and a 10-key pad. Dimensions are approximately 19"W x 3.7"H x 11.7"D, weighing about 9.3 lbs (4.2 kg). It is powered by 7W and includes rack ears and mounting screws. The CD-200 has been discontinued in the Americas but may be available elsewhere.
