About the CC222 MKII

The Tascam CC-222 MKII is the world's first combination CD-RW and professional-quality cassette deck allowing recording from various sources including CD players, digital multitracks, and vinyl turntables. It features 24-bit digital converters for the CD recorder, a digital attenuator on analog inputs, and unrestricted digital copying via SPDIF coaxial and optical digital I/O. The cassette deck includes Dolby B noise reduction, auto-reverse, and ±12% pitch control, ideal for performers and archiving. The unit supports professional and consumer CD-R and CD-RW discs, with features such as fade in/out, manual and auto track increment, shuffle and program play modes, and timer play. It includes a dedicated RIAA phono input for direct turntable connection, eliminating the need for an external phono preamp. The CC-222 MKII is rack-mountable (3U), includes a wireless remote (RC-222), and offers independent operation of CD and cassette decks or simultaneous recording/playback. It is widely used in professional and installation environments such as theaters, schools, and houses of worship. This model has been discontinued and replaced by the CC-222MKIV.
