About the Prism 22
The TARA Labs Prism 22 is a coaxial interconnect cable featuring a single thick strand of 6N-purity copper as the central conductor, insulated with chunky HDPE and surrounded by a multi-stranded tin-plated copper braid. This design reduces inductance without increasing resistance, pushing its resonant frequency above 30 MHz. It delivers a fresh, detailed sound with clear and bright treble that rarely becomes grainy or coarse. The Prism 22 is praised for its freer sound, quick dynamics, firm bass, and excellent vocal projection, representing a subtle refinement over the Prism 11 model. It is terminated with polished gold RCA connectors and housed in a turquoise aromatic jacket. The cable is hand-assembled and individually tested at TARA Labs' factory in Oregon. It is recommended for tuners, VCR/laser disc sound, modestly priced CD players, and tape decks, especially in systems with a tendency toward brightness and runs of 2.0 meters or less. The Prism 22 is noted for smooth, open sound with accurate, precise imaging and detailed dynamics, making it one of the best-sounding interconnects in its price range. The cable is
