The Tannoy SGM 15 Super Gold Monitor is a premium 2-way floorstanding speaker featuring a legendary Dual Concentric driver design with a 15-inch (380 mm) paper pulp cone low-frequency driver and a 1.3-inch (33 mm) aluminium/magnesium alloy dome high-frequency driver. It provides class-leading phase coherence, point-source imaging, and even dispersion, ideal for large rooms and genres requiring powerful, punchy bass like R’n’B, Hip Hop, Electronica, and Rock. The cabinet uses high-density particle board and MDF with plywood bracing, triple distributed front ports for near-wall placement, and front-mounted user controls for treble adjustment. Designed and manufactured in the UK, it revives the classic Super Gold series with modern components including ferrite magnets and copper demodulation rings.
