The Tannoy Stirling Prestige Gold Reference loudspeaker combines timeless styling with captivating performance through its new Dual Concentric Gold Reference driver, a design lineage dating back to 1967. It features a hand-built cabinet made from fine plywood with traditional joinery, finished in Prestige oiled real walnut veneer with solid walnut trim and machined metal accents. The cabinet uses a distributed port design for exemplary low-frequency response from its 85-litre enclosure. The crossover benefits from a component upgrade including high-quality capacitors and Deep Cryogenic Treatment, enhancing the crystal structure of components and cabling for smoother, more natural sound. The Dual Concentric driver integrates a 10" (254 mm) low-frequency woofer with treated paper pulp cone and twin roll impregnated fabric surround, and a 1" (25 mm) aluminium/magnesium alloy dome tweeter with Tulip Waveguide and neodymium magnet, providing a true point-source sound with excellent phase alignment and imaging. The speaker supports bi-wiring and includes adjustable high-frequency power. It has a frequency response of 39 Hz to 46 kHz (-6 dB), sensitivity of 91 dB, nominal impedance of 8 ohms, and can handle up to 340 watts peak power. Dimensions are 850 mm H × 397 mm W × 368 mm D (33.5" × 15.5" × 14.5"), weighing 23 kg (50.7 lbs). The package includes bi-wire bridge connectors, wood wax, carpet protectors, adjustable feet, and detailed documentation including a quality certificate and owner's manual. The design and manufacture are UK-based, with a 3-year warranty. The speaker must be purchased in pairs.
