The Tannoy Prestige SuperTweeter is engineered to provide extended high frequency response demanded by modern audio sources, operating up to 54-62 kHz with usable output to 100 kHz. It complements Tannoy's Dual Concentric speakers, including Prestige HE range, Stirling, Westminster Royal, and earlier models like HPD, Monitor Gold, or Monitor Silver. The tweeter features a 25 mm titanium or magnesium alloy dome with a 24-carat gold or gold anodised finish and a neodymium magnet system to minimize distortion and extend frequency response. It includes adjustable crossover frequency (14, 16, or 18 kHz) and level controls for precise matching to different speakers and room acoustics. The unit is housed in a luxurious oiled American walnut plinth with gold trim, designed for both acoustic performance and aesthetic appeal. It supports amplifier power up to 250-350 Watts RMS and has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. The SuperTweeter enhances the clarity, airiness, and impact of music, reproducing fine detail and transient information beyond the normal hearing range, thus delivering a more natural and true-to-life sound experience.
