The TAD 2404 is a high-end professional studio monitor speaker system developed by TAD, incorporating advanced systemization technology from previous models. It features a 40 cm cone type woofer (model TL-1601c) with an integral casting process for rigidity and an Alnico magnet to reduce distortion. The high-frequency section uses a compression driver (model TD-4003) with a 10 cm beryllium diaphragm and a neodymium magnet, combined with a horn (model TH-4003) designed for wide-band reproduction and excellent linearity. The system offers a frequency response from 28 Hz to 20 kHz, rated input power of 200W (up to 500W max), and an impedance of 8 ohms. It has a crossover frequency of 650 Hz and a sensitivity of 95 dB. The enclosure measures 660 mm wide, 798 mm high, and 678 mm deep, weighing 93 kg. The speakers were sold around 1999 and are no longer manufactured. The design emphasizes smooth, natural sound with strong durability, suitable for professional studio monitoring.
