About the Die Erleuchtung
The Die Erleuchtung is a high-end tube preamplifier made by Symphonic Line, handcrafted in Germany by Rolf Gemein. It features a separate 300 VA mumetal transformer power supply, ceramic valve sockets, and no overall feedback design. The preamplifier supports Phono MM input with an optional MC stage with mumetal transformer and impedance matching. Each line input has its own separate impedance matching stage, and it offers 2 pre-outputs and multiple line inputs including CD, Tuner, AUX, and Tape with tape-to-tape recording capability. The frequency range extends from 2 Hz to 120,000 Hz, delivering an open sound with spatial clarity around voices and instruments. The chassis is available in chrome or black/silver aluminum with a massive 10 mm engraved front panel and includes a volume remote control. The circuitry is designed for extremely short signal paths and uses high-quality components such as metal-shielded Alps potentiometers, gold-plated WBT binding posts, and teflon cables. The power supply is shielded and filtered with a mumetal transformer and high capacity capacitors (56,000 µF). The unit is praised for its clean power supply, fast circuits, and absence of overall feedback, resulting in a detailed, warm, and precise sound signature.
