About the Sweet Vinyl SugarCube SC-1 Mini
The Sweet Vinyl SugarCube SC-1 Mini is a dedicated line-level device designed to remove clicks and pops from vinyl records during playback. It converts the analog signal to digital using 192kHz/24-bit AKM A/D and D/A converters, applies a proprietary click and pop removal algorithm (version 2.0), and converts the signal back to analog. The unit features adjustable removal strength, an analog bypass mode, and a click and pop removal monitor. It is controlled via front panel buttons and a strength knob, with pairing functionality for iOS, Android, and web apps that provide remote control. The device includes gold-plated RCA inputs and outputs, a gigabit Ethernet port, four USB-A ports, and supports a USB WiFi adapter. Internally, it runs on a 64-bit Intel Atom processor with a Linux environment, enabling sophisticated DSP for transparent noise removal without degrading soundstage or tonal quality. The SC-1 Mini is praised for its excellent build quality, minimalistic design, and ability to make previously unplayable records enjoyable again. It is available in black anodized finish and is currently in limited production due to component shortages.
