About the TZ Vibe

The Sutherland Engineering TZ Vibe is a compact trans-impedance (current input) phono preamplifier that presents a virtual short (zero ohms load) to the cartridge, using the current generated by the MC cartridge rather than voltage. This design eliminates loading adjustments and excels with low-output MC cartridges, delivering dead-quiet operation, high dynamics, and a sense of realism with superb imaging and soundstaging. It melds the second gain stage from the KC Vibe with the transimpedance input from the Little Loco Mk2. Factory-set to medium gain, internally adjustable by ±6dB via shunts (HIGH, MED, LOW). Not compatible with MM, MI cartridges, or step-up transformers. Features grounded RCA input shells, no special tonearm cable requirements. Includes external 48V power supply (Sutherland-specific, do not substitute). Powder-coated steel chassis for shielding. 5-year transferable warranty (parts and labor, unmodified units only). Currently in production and available from multiple retailers.
