About the EFF-I
The Supra Cables EFF-I Interconnects are silver-plated oxygen-free copper analogue cables designed for both balanced and single-ended audio transmissions in mid-to-high-end HiFi systems. Utilizing the patented Equalized Frequency Flow (EFF) technique, the cable features two hollow tube-shaped conductors with a wall thickness of 0.20 mm, minimizing skin effect by equalizing resistance across all audio frequencies. This results in a transparent, detailed sound with clear room definition and excellent midrange and upper frequency reproduction. Each conductor is individually shielded with aluminum foil and PE insulation, and the cable includes a tin-plated OFC drain wire for grounding. The cable has a diameter of approximately 7.2 to 7.8 mm and is jacketed in heat and age-resistant PVC. It is directional, with arrows indicating signal flow, and is available factory terminated with Supra PPX, PPSL RCA connectors, or balanced Swift XLR connectors. The EFF-I is highly regarded for its low capacitance (around 70-77 pF/m), low resistance (about 38 Ohm/km), characteristic impedance of 75 Ohms, and velocity factor of 0.66 times the speed of light. It is suitable for use with turntables, preamps, CD players, and power amplifiers, offering excellent shielding against RFI and EMI for a quiet, noise-free signal. The cable is available in various lengths from 0.75 to 2.0 meters and custom lengths on request. It is one of Supra's most awarded products, known for its precise and fast sound signature with a slightly bright tonal balance.
