About the HRS-12

The Sunfire HRS-12 is a compact, high-output powered subwoofer featuring a front-firing 12-inch long-excursion woofer using Sunfire's High Back-EMF motor design in a sealed acoustic-suspension enclosure. It is driven by a 1,000 watt RMS Tracking DownConverter amplifier with soft-clipping, providing peak output levels up to 108 dB SPL (including room gain) at 1 m and deep bass extension with a specified frequency response of 18 Hz-100 Hz (often listed as 16-100 Hz in some literature). The HRS-12 is housed in a high-gloss black, ultra-compact cube cabinet measuring approximately 13.5" x 13.5" x 13.5" (≈343 mm per side) and weighing about 38 lbs (≈17.2 kg). Rear-panel connectivity and controls include stereo RCA line-level inputs, speaker-level inputs, a high-pass line-level output, infinitely variable low-pass crossover (30-100 Hz), 0-180° variable phase, level control, and automatic signal-sensing power on/standby, along with a removable IEC power cord. Thanks to its compact sealed design, powerful amplifier, and high-excursion driver, the HRS-12 can deliver bass output comparable to many larger 15-inch subwoofers, making it well-suited for larger rooms and dedicated home theater environments where deep, accurate low-frequency reproduction is required.
