The Stenheim Alumine 3 is a compact, high-end 3-way floor-standing speaker made entirely of aluminium, inspired by the acclaimed Alumine Five model. It features two 8-inch woofers, one 5¼-inch neodymium midrange driver, and one neodymium soft dome tweeter, combined with a phase-coherent passive crossover using audiophile-grade components. The speaker employs a front laminar port bass reflex design with two independent chambers to optimize sound quality and reduce resonance. It offers a frequency response from 32 Hz to 35 kHz, sensitivity of 93 dB SPL, and power handling of 150W RMS (300W peak). The nominal impedance is 8 Ohms (minimum 4 Ohms), and it requires a minimum recommended amplifier power of 10W. The cabinet is built with thin-wall aluminium and features hidden fixings and golden ratio dimensions for aesthetic and acoustic benefits. Available finishes include metallic light grey or dark grey with black front and rear, with custom options such as full black, ivory, mocca, wood veneer, or leather veneer. The Special Edition (SE) version upgrades internal wiring, crossover components, and binding posts for enhanced performance. Each speaker weighs approximately 70 kg and measures 105 cm high, 25 cm wide, and 33 cm deep.
