About the Helios
The Stealth Helios phono cable is a top-tier audio cable designed for vinyl playback, combining the advanced design features of Stealth's Sakra V16 interconnect and Hyperphono cables. It uses a proprietary STEALTH custom miniDin connector with a highly flexible cable end that can be bent sharply at 90 degrees without damage, fitting any tonearm or turntable orientation. The cable employs amorphous conductive media wire that is ultra-thin to minimize skin effect and time-domain errors, ensuring clean bass and perfect imaging. It features a proprietary non-resonant vari-cross distributed LITZ geometry with individually insulated strands and non-inductive bifilar winding for electrical and mechanical resonance control. The dielectric is a para-vacuum helium gas combined with porous Teflon, providing ultra-low energy storage and low distortion for fast, clear sound. The Helios is fully balanced even in RCA termination, significantly reducing noise and intermodulation distortion, which is critical given the very low signal levels from moving coil cartridges. The cable is noted for exceptional quietness, transparency, and resolution, revealing musical details previously unheard. It requires a phono or line preamp with sufficient gain and ultra-low noise to offset some signal attenuation inherent in the cable's design. The Helios is a made-to-order product with a lead time of 2 to 3 weeks and is2m length.
