About the KRAKEN
The STAGE III CONCEPTS KRAKEN power cable represents the culmination of 16 years of research and innovation in audiophile-grade power cables. It uses six cryo-treated, slow-extruded silver/palladium solid core ribbon conductors (AeroStrand Ultra™) suspended in Teflon tubes, each individually shielded with silver-plated mesh and accompanied by three silver-plated ground wires. The cable incorporates a multi-layer mechanical damping system using silica, ceramic, and ferrite materials to reduce noise and vibration. Connectors are custom-made with palladium-plated silver and copper alloy contacts, also cryo-treated, housed in carbon fiber/polymer composite shells. The cable supports very high current capacity (over 40A) while maintaining flexibility and reduced bulk compared to traditional cables. It is handmade with proprietary components and designed to deliver outstanding clarity, tonal accuracy, spatial resolution, and a very low noise floor, enhancing the performance of a wide range of audio components. The KRAKEN is known for transforming sound systems with improved bass definition, soundstage depth, and overall musical realism. It is a bulky and heavy cable but surprisingly flexible for its size, with a distinctive stepped design to accommodate the large conductor gauge. The5 meter length, and it remains a classic and best-selling model in the Stage III Concepts lineup with no plans for discontinuation or redesign.
