The Ampzilla 2000 Second Edition is a state-of-the-art monoblock power amplifier from Spread Spectrum Technologies, rated conservatively at 300 watts into 8Ω and 540 watts into 4Ω. It features twelve 250-watt output devices and a custom 2000VA transformer per monoblock, along with 100,000µF of power supply filtering and dual rectification. The amplifier uses a new variation of Forward Gain topology, achieving unprecedented linearity and smoothness, allowing it to be listened to open loop without feedback. The entire circuit is fully balanced from input to output, including a unique unbalanced-to-balanced converter for single-ended inputs.
