About the Soundstring II SE
The Soundstring Cable Generation II Special Edition (Gen II SE) cables are designed with enhanced conductor constructions featuring more strands per conductor, resulting in a larger area for current flow. They incorporate a proprietary 98% non-metallic braided shield that provides excellent protection against radio frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic interference (EMI), enhancing overall cable performance. The cables use 6-9's oxygen-free high conductivity electrolytic bare copper with #22 AWG overall for interconnects and are covered with a platinum silver color nylon multi-filament jacket. The speaker cables come equipped with 8mm gold-plated spade terminals, and power cords use high-quality Furtech plugs, are UL approved, and suitable for 110-120 volt AC dedicated electrical services. The Gen II SE line differs from the regular Gen II Delta by its shielding and enhanced strand counts. These cables are known for their durability, flexibility, and high sonic performance, delivering a fast, accurate, open, and transparent sound. The Special Edition interconnects are undergoing redesign for their Cocobola wood housings and are not currently available. Pricing varies by cable type and length, with power cords starting around for 4 feet and speaker cables around for 8 feet.
