About the Zephyr MIMC ☆

The Soundsmith Zephyr MIMC ☆ is an ES-series low-output phono cartridge positioned as an entry point into Soundsmith’s high-end, moving-coil-preamp-compatible lineup. It uses a fixed-coil / moving-iron generator, a laser-drilled sapphire cantilever, and a selected nude contact-line stylus, and is described by Soundsmith as incorporating ES-series DEMS design updates, built-in azimuth adjustment, and optional electrical isolation for hum-prone systems. It is made in the USA and carries a 2-year warranty to the original owner. Current MSRP is $1,999.95.
