About the MMP4 Phono

The Soundsmith MMP4 is a hand-made, low-noise phono preamplifier designed for moving magnet (MM), moving iron (MI), and high-output moving-coil cartridges. It uses a high-quality aluminum chassis, an external 24 V DC power supply, and accurate RIAA equalization to provide low distortion and clean amplification for vinyl playback. The standard version is aimed at high- and medium-output cartridges, while a 34 dB special-order version is available for very high-output cartridges.
