About the sMS-200
The SOtM sMS-200 is a new generation mini network player featuring a custom-built dual-core ARM processor board developed solely for audio purposes, avoiding the sound quality deterioration common in generic processor boards. It supports multiple player software including Roon Ready, DLNA renderer, Music Player Daemon (MPD), Logitech Media Server (LMS), and Squeezelite, allowing playback from external USB storage, network shared folders, and streaming services. The device includes a simple web GUI for setup and control via smart devices. It delivers high fidelity sound with PCM up to 32bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSDx512, featuring an ultra-low jitter clock, ultra-low noise regulator, and active noise canceller. The sMS-200 Neo is an updated model with deeper mid-range and richer bass. The unit has a microSD slot for OS, one high-end audio grade USB port, two USB 2.0 ports for storage, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. It operates on Linux OS and requires 6.5 to 12V DC power input with a maximum power consumption of 15W. Dimensions are approximately 106×48×152 mm and it weighs 1.5 kg. The sMS-200 is noted for its excellent sound quality and functionality at a competitive price point, making it a unique offering in its category.
