The Sota Nova VI Vacuum Turntable is a high-fidelity analog turntable designed for audiophiles seeking exceptional realism and detail from vinyl records. It features a robust sub-chassis with a 1" aircraft grade aluminum brace that makes it heavier and stiffer, yielding more accurate sound and clarity. The turntable uses a proprietary vacuum hold-down system that removes air between the record and platter to ensure a perfectly flat record for optimal playback, reducing pump noise with a self-sensing circuit. It has a high-efficiency A/C motor with double-regulated synthesized sine-wave drive, belt drive transmission, and electronically switchable speeds of 33.3 and 45 RPM with fine tuning. The platter is a 14 lb one-piece cast aluminum with internal damping and a molded silicone vacuum lip. The bearing uses a hardened steel shaft hand-matched to sintered bronze sleeves. The suspension is a tuned 4-point stretched-spring sub-chassis with a 2.55 Hz frequency. The turntable weighs 44 lbs and comes with a separate 10 lb pump unit. Finishes include oak, American cherry, walnut, and rare woods by request. A dust cover is available upon request.
