The Sony UBP-X700 is a compact 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player introduced in 2018. It plays Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, standard Blu-ray, DVD, CD, and Super Audio CD media, and supports network and USB playback of numerous high-resolution audio, video, and photo formats. Video features include 4K upscaling up to 60p, HDR10, Dolby Vision via firmware support, 12-bit Deep Colour, and 24p True Cinema. It can bitstream Dolby Atmos and DTS:X soundtracks through HDMI to a compatible AV receiver or processor. Its two HDMI outputs allow video to be routed separately from audio, while the coaxial digital output provides an additional digital-audio connection. Sony’s Japanese product listing identifies the UBP-X700 as production-complete; availability may therefore depend on region and remaining inventory.
