About the Gravis I

The Sonus Faber Gravis I subwoofer offers an ideal balance of size and performance for smaller to mid-sized listening rooms. It features a sealed, closed box design with a down-firing 8-inch (210 mm) very long throw woofer made of treated paper cone with a wide rubber surround. Powered by a high linearity Class AB amplifier delivering 150 W RMS and 250 W peak power, it provides accurate, expressive, and deep bass well beyond its class. The subwoofer includes independent volume controls for Master and LFE inputs, a continuously adjustable crossover frequency from 30 to 120 Hz with a 24 dB/oct slope, and a phase inversion switch (0/180°). It supports multiple inputs including LFE and line level RCA plugs and a high-level Neutrik 4-pole Speakon connector, with a 10m Speakon cable included. The cabinet is compact (334 x 286 x 316 mm) and available in finishes such as Matte White, Piano Black lacquer, Walnut, and Wenge wood veneer, topped with black leather embossed with the Sonus Faber logo. Additional features include auto switch-on/off (deselectable) and protection against short circuits, overheating, and DC faults. The Gravis I is designed to integrate seamlessly with Sonus Faber's Sonetto and Lumina collections, delivering a wide sound field with rock-solid, fast, and deep bass suitable for both music and home theater applications.
