The Sonus Faber Cremona Original Series is a high-end Italian floorstanding loudspeaker renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship and acoustic performance. It features a unique lute-shaped cabinet made from solid and laminated maple with a medium-gloss, ecologically sensitive lacquer finish. The design minimizes internal resonances and standing waves, enhancing sound clarity and precision. The speaker is a three-way, reflex-loaded system with a 1" (25mm) ring-radiator tweeter, a 5.5" (140mm) paper-cone midrange driver with Symmetric Drive motor system, and two 6" (153mm) paper-cone woofers also with Symmetric Drive. The crossover uses first-order filters optimized for acoustic phase response. It covers a wide frequency range from 32Hz to 40kHz, has a sensitivity of 90dB/2.83V/m, and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. Power handling is rated between 50 and 300 watts without clipping. Dimensions are 42.9" (1090mm) high, 8.9" (225mm) wide, and 18.1" (460mm) deep, with each speaker weighing 75 lbs (34 kg). The front baffle is covered with black leather, and the grille consists of vertical silk-covered silicone rubber strings to minimize vibration interference.
