The Sonus Faber Concerto Domus is a slightly more compact version of the Grand Piano designed for use in smaller interior spaces. It is a fully shielded, 2-way floor standing loudspeaker with a stylish lute-shaped cabinet and decoupled side panels for resonance control, inspired by the Cremona line's elegant arching of solid walnut panels. It features a 7-inch paper-coated cone midwoofer and a 1-inch ring radiator tweeter, both magnetically shielded and custom designed for compression-free, ultra dynamic linearity. The crossover is an initial first order, distributed multislope design optimized for phase characteristics and correct space/time performance at 3.6 kHz. The frequency response ranges from 35 Hz to 20 kHz, with a front reflex port for tuning. Sensitivity is 88 dB SPL (2.83V/1m) with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms and power handling from 30 to 200 watts without clipping. The cabinet finish combines black leather and black piano lacquer. Dimensions are 205 x 310 x 990 mm (W x D x H), and the pair weighs approximately 102.75 lbs net. Sonus Faber designed the Domus series to please both music and home-theater aficionados, offering a warm, expressive voice with lush vocals and well-controlled bass extending confidently into the upper 30 Hz range. The speaker's tonal balance is smooth and non-fatiguing, with a natural sweetness in the treble from the ring-radiator tweeter.
