About the X-USB Interface

The SMSL X-USB Digital Interface is a high-end USB digital audio interface based on the XMOS chip, designed to provide asynchronous USB management and high-quality digital outputs including S/PDIF coaxial, optical, and I2S via HDMI. It supports PCM audio up to 24-bit/192kHz on coaxial and optical outputs, and PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD64/128 on the I2S HDMI output. The device features an OLED display showing the sampling rate, ultra-low jitter with two high precision clocks, and a THD+N of less than 0.00002%. It is USB powered and compatible with Windows (driver required), Mac OS, iOS, and Android. The HDMI output pinout is non-standard and intended for DIY use. This interface is ideal for upgrading older DACs or improving USB input performance on existing DACs by providing a clean digital signal output.
