The SMSL M500 is a versatile HiFi product that combines a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with a headphone amplifier. It is built with a CNC aluminum alloy body and features a tempered glass display panel for durability and aesthetic appeal. The device supports MQA decoding and utilizes the ESS ES9038Pro DAC chip, known for its high performance. It also includes the ES9311 power supply chip to minimize noise and optimize the DAC's performance. The XMOS XU-216 interface supports high-resolution audio up to 32-bit/768 kHz PCM and DSD512. The M500 offers various inputs, including USB, optical, and coaxial, and outputs via RCA and XLR. It is equipped with a discrete component headphone amplifier, providing sufficient power for demanding headphones. The device includes a remote control for convenience and offers independent volume controls for headphones and preamp outputs.
