The SME Model 35 turntable replaces the Model 30, offering superior performance through a sophisticated tri-column design with de-coupled feet for multipoint isolation, improved suspension system providing vertical and horizontal control, and an innovative hydraulic damping main bearing. It includes a 24-pole AC motor with external control units (mains transformer/PSU and speed control/DSP), a 4.6kg aluminium alloy platter with integral iso-damp mat, and the new Series Vi tonearm made from high-density, high-rigidity non-metallic polymer resin with circular cross-section for low resonance. Available in standard black/silver anodised (£35,999) or special midnight blue/gunmetal (£37,999) finishes. Praised for world-class detail, pitch stability, soundstage, and bass retrieval, positioning it as a sweet spot below the Model 60.
