The SME Model 12 Mk2 is a high-end belt-drive precision turntable engineered for exceptional audio reproduction. It features a high-mass CNC-machined aluminum chassis with excellent resonance absorption and a small footprint. The turntable includes an isolated suspension system, close-tolerance precision bearing, and a 4.6kg machined aluminum platter with Iso-Damp surface. It is equipped with a custom bi-phase AC synchronous motor and a sophisticated outboard speed control unit offering 33.33, 45 rpm speeds with fine pitch adjustment of +/-0.01%. Standard tonearm is the 9-inch SME Model 309 with tungsten-alloy balance weight, constrained layer damping, and Mono-Crystal Silver or Crystal Cable internal wiring. Options include upgrades to Series V tonearm, dual tonearms (Model 12 Twin), or Model 12-V. Available in black, dark gray, or dark blue finishes.
