The Sonore ultraRendu Plus, from Small Green Computer, is the latest version (1.3) of the ultraRendu line, designed as an exceptional endpoint streamer for audiophiles. It transforms a USB DAC into a network DAC using proprietary printed circuit technology, optimized linear power supplies, and ultra-low noise components. Key upgrades include a redesigned USB circuit removing redundant components, an updated clock buffer with significantly lower phase noise, improved lower impedance and voltage regulation on the USB subsystem, and relocated clock circuit. It supports multiple streaming protocols including Roon Ready, DLNA, Squeezebox, MPD, Spotify Connect (beta), and streams from Logitech Media Server, Apple devices, JRiver, Audirvana, mConnect, JCat, HQ Player. Running Sonicorbiter OS, it offers easy web-based configuration, true gapless playback, and pop-free DSD/PCM transitions. Recommended with a linear power supply for lowest noise floor. Compact and plug-and-play, it connects via Ethernet input and USB-A output to any USB audio device.
