About the SU1 USB to Converter
The Singxer SU-1 is a high-end USB digital interface designed to bypass the USB input of DACs and improve audio performance. It features the latest XMOS XU208 xCORE-200 series USB chip with advanced processing capabilities (up to 1000 MIPS) and a high-performance Xilinx CPLD/FPGA for digital audio signal reshaping and jitter reduction. The device uses dual Crystek femtosecond oscillators (CCHD-575) for ultra-low jitter clocking, ensuring superior audio signal quality. It supports PCM sample rates up to 384kHz and DSD up to DSD512 (native). Outputs include coaxial RCA and BNC SPDIF, AES/EBU XLR balanced output, I2S via HDMI (with flexible configuration for various DAC brands), and MCLK/WCK word clock output. The SU-1 employs full isolation technology to eliminate noise interference from the PC and uses source synchronous shaping technology to maintain signal integrity. Compatible with Windows (XP to 10), Mac OS X 10.6+, Linux with UAC2 kernel, and Android 4.2+ (OTG support). It requires an external 110V AC power supply (some versions support 220V). The device is praised for significantly improving the sound quality of many DACs, making it a valuable upgrade for audiophiles.
