About the S7

The Simon Yorke Designs S7 is a precision, suspensionless belt-drive turntable system with a separate motor and transfer-bearing arrangement intended to reduce motor-borne vibration. It was offered with Simon Yorke’s unipivot tonearm in 9-inch or 12-inch versions, and a standard configuration supported 33⅓, 45, and 78 rpm; a fixed-speed 33⅓ rpm version was also available without the transfer-bearing assembly. The S7 was also used as the basis for specialized archival playback systems.
