The Simaudio Moon Eclipse is a world-class CD player designed with extensive research and development to deliver exceptional audio performance. It features a fully balanced differential circuit using four BurrBrown PCM1704U-K 24-bit DACs and an 8X oversampling BurrBrown DF1704 digital filter. The player internally upsamples standard 16-bit/44.1kHz Red Book CDs to 24-bit/352.8kHz for enhanced sound quality. It uses a Philips CD-Pro 2 transport mechanism known for high disc acceptance and reliability. Outputs include balanced XLR and single-ended RCA analog outputs, as well as BNC digital input and output, allowing use as a standalone CD player, CD transport, or pure DAC. The Eclipse is housed in a robust chassis with an all-aluminum remote control and includes features such as a fully isolated transport mechanism and a large power supply for stable operation.
