The Silent Running Audio Ohio Class XL Plus 2 (Ohio-Class XL+2) isoBASE is a top-tier, component-specific isolation platform designed to reduce vibration and enhance the performance of high-end audio equipment. It uses Silent Running Audio's proprietary Component Specific Design process, which tailors each base to the exact dimensions, weight distribution, construction, and operating environment of the supported component. Central to its design is the Raft Isolation System, a complex, thermally reactive isolation architecture that can change its mechanical behavior in response to vibrational and thermal conditions to optimize isolation performance. The raft system employs replaceable vertical and horizontal isolation modules to provide multi-axis, six-degree-of-freedom isolation at very low frequencies, allowing the platform to be recalibrated for different components as long as core dimensions remain compatible. The outer shell is a high-pressure, nano-particle composite designed to drain and dissipate resonances from the component into the platform.
