The Silent Angel Munich M1T is a compact, fanless network music transport intended to feed an external DAC rather than provide conventional analog playback. It combines Gigabit Ethernet networking, playback from network storage and attached USB drives, and four digital audio output interfaces: AES/EBU, coaxial S/PDIF, I²S over an HDMI-style connector, and USB Audio. AES/EBU, coaxial, and I²S support PCM up to 384 kHz and DSD128, while USB Audio supports PCM up to 768 kHz and DSD256. The unit uses a quad-core 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A72 processor, low-noise DDR4 memory in 2 GB, 4 GB, or 8 GB variants, and 32 GB internal flash storage.
