About the Ultra Bi-Wire
Signal Cable Ultra Bi-Wire speaker cables use 8 stranded copper conductors per channel, with a total of 152 bare copper strands and polyethylene (PE) insulation for each conductor, inside a polyvinylchloride (PVC) outer jacket. The design yields an effective gauge of 10 AWG per channel and employs an internal twisted, cross-linked geometry to reduce noise and maintain signal integrity. Electrical characteristics include nominal capacitance of 18.5 pF/ft and nominal conductor DC resistance of 3.2 Ω/1000 ft. Standard gold-plated termination options are spades, banana plugs, and pins. This is the bi-wire configuration of Signal Cable's best-selling Ultra speaker cable line, which is also offered in single-wire and bi-amp configurations.
