The Shure SC35C MM Stereo Dynetic Phono Cartridge was specifically designed for broadcast studio applications requiring a closely controlled frequency response and a rugged stylus assembly for back cuing. It features a blue-colored stylus grip with a cut-away for improved visibility of the orange-colored stylus tip, aiding accurate set-down in cuing operations. The cartridge includes a heavy-duty shield to minimize electromagnetic hum and mounts on virtually all professional and studio tone arms. It offers high trackability at a stylus force of 4 grams, minimizing mistracking distortion. The cartridge is a moving magnet type with a tracking force range of 4 to 5 grams, providing significant skip resistance, making it suitable for DJ and broadcast use. It comes with a stylus cleaning brush, headshell weight, user guide, mounting hardware, and stylus guard. Replacement styli include the SS35C spherical diamond and optional SS78E biradial diamond stylus for 78 RPM records.
