About the Aurieges

The Shindo Laboratory Aurieges is a hand-wired, tube-based full-function stereo preamplifier with separate signal and power-supply chassis in its classic configuration. It combines three line-level RCA inputs with an MM phono stage intended for cartridges producing approximately 3 mV or more. The design uses NOS vacuum tubes, a tube-rectified power supply, point-to-point wiring, and a relatively high 5 kOhm output impedance, making short interconnects and a compatible power amplifier advisable. Later Aurieges variants included single-chassis versions and an Aurieges-L line-only model; specifications can therefore vary by production version. The manufacturer’s product page remains available, but the Aurieges appears to be a legacy/limited-production model rather than a normally current product, and current production status is not clearly stated by Shindo.
