About the Allegro
The Shindo Allegro preamplifier is a highly regarded, limited production tube preamp featuring a dual mono design with separate power supplies and output transformers for each channel. It offers dual volume controls and is built with the best quality new old stock parts combined with custom modern components, all housed in a vintage Shindo chassis. The Allegro includes a moving magnet phono input and built-in custom moving coil step-up transformers for low output MC cartridges. It delivers more dynamics, a darker background, and the ability to drive longer interconnects compared to its predecessor, the Monbrison. Only eight units were hand wired and built, making it a rare collector's item. The Allegro can be configured to run fully balanced but does not include remote control functionality. It is positioned above the Monbrison model and below the Masseto in Shindo's preamplifier lineup.
