About the CD-T100
The Shanling CD-T100 is a hybrid tube/solid-state CD and HDCD player with a Philips CDM-1201 transport and CD7 II servo circuitry. Its digital section uses four 24-bit Burr-Brown PCM1704 DACs, a Pacific Microsonics PMD-200 HDCD digital filter, and a Crystal CS8420 upsampler supporting 96 kHz operation. The analog section uses four 6N3P tubes, with separate transistor and tube output paths, while a tube-driven headphone output is also provided. A remote-controlled digital volume control permits adjustable output level, allowing the player to feed a power amplifier directly. The unit offers selectable or defeatable 24/96 upsampling and balanced and unbalanced analog outputs.
