About the CD 3000

The Shanling CD-3000 is a high-end top-loading CD player with a sliding lid and magnetic disc clamp. It uses a Philips CD7 MkII transport and a Burr-Brown PCM1794 digital-to-analog converter with selectable 24-bit/192kHz upsampling via a Burr-Brown SRC1492 processor. Its independent analog output stages provide tube-based single-ended RCA output using two Electro-Harmonix 6922 tubes and solid-state balanced output using Burr-Brown OPA627 op-amps; both output types can be used simultaneously. Separate power transformers serve the analog and digital sections. The player measures 380 x 482 x 128 mm and weighs approximately 13 kg.
