About the MT3F

The SGR Audio MT3F is an Australian-made, three-way fully active floorstanding loudspeaker system introduced in 2004. Its distinctive two-part design combines a trapezoidal sealed bass enclosure containing two 10-inch custom paper-cone woofers with a separate upper head unit housing a 5-inch paper-cone midrange and ScanSpeak Revelator ring-radiator tweeter. Each speaker contains its own three-channel Class-AB amplification and analogue active crossover system, with balanced and single-ended line inputs. The critically damped sealed alignment was designed for deep, controlled bass extension to 20 Hz. It was later superseded by the slimmer MT3FSL (2009) and subsequently the MT3.2 (2013).
