About the 350D
The Scott 350D Stereo Tuner, introduced as the last tube tuner model by Scott, is an FM multiplex stereo tuner with a slide rule tuning dial replacing the traditional circular dial. It features a silver-plated front end, a new multiplex decoder circuit with electronic stereo/mono switching (the first in the 350 line with this feature), and automatic mono/stereo switching. The tuner uses a 3-tube IF/limiter section with a 6U8 dual limiter tube and a special IF transformer. It has a wideband design for drift-free tuning and noise-free reception of weak stations. The 350D also includes a selectable multipath or signal strength magic-eye tuning indicator and an extruded aluminum front panel styling. It weighs approximately 19 lbs and measures 15" wide, 12" deep, and 5" high. This model was95 at the time of release and is considered a high-quality vintage tube tuner with a unique design and sound characteristics.
