About the Silver
The Sciencetific Cable Silver Balanced is a high-quality balanced audio cable designed for audiophile use. It features cryogenically treated four conductor stranded wire, each wire consisting of numerous fine strands of silver-plated copper, arranged to ensure low resistance and negligible signal loss. The cable is very flexible and tangle-free with a non-microphonic jacket, making it suitable for high-end headphone and amplifier connections. Connectors include 1/4" (6.3mm) stereo or 4-pin balanced XLR plugs for amplifier connection and 2 x 4-pin mini XLR for headphone earcup connection. Electrical specifications include a resistance of 12 milliohms per foot, capacitance of 10 picofarads per foot, inductance of 0.15 microhenrys per foot, and dielectric strength of 1000V. The cable length is typically 2.5 meters, weighing approximately 110 grams.
